In collaboration with the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and local Androsians, I played an active role in opposing a mining proposal that threatens the delicate ecosystems of Andros, Bahamas. By leveraging my knowledge of the region's unique environmental and cultural significance, I worked alongside passionate community members to raise awareness about the risks of the proposed mining project. Through grassroots efforts, including educational campaigns and public forums, we united voices to safeguard the pristine environment and promote sustainable alternatives for local development.
